Background

August 30th, 2024 an idea was born. My friends, Ethan Gomez, Virgil Bascos, and I (Luke Adams) were assigned a project. Create a product, and turn it into a business pitch. The original company name was The Blaze Buster, which later became our product name. But, we pitched our idea, and lost the class competition. Defeated, Virgil, Ethan and I formulated a plan to win everybody over to work on The Blaze Buster (these business ideas would be the ones we work on for the entire school year). I went person to person and convinced them to revive The Blaze Buster and be on my team, until the majority of my classmates were on my side. We then told the outnumbered group that they could join our team, or lose all year. They then joined our team and we got to work. I offered top positions to everyone else seeing that that would win them over. We got to brainstorming and landed on the name DeFlammo. We also had our lead engineer (Henry Sharick) work on the design. Later, we ran into a problem with the design. My original idea was a more solid water balloon-like design that encased a fire extinguishing foam. But we then discovered that a plastic shell, with heat reactive combustion powder would be better and the small combustion would release a fire extinguishing powder. That became our design. We now are DeFlammo, selling a simple, safe, and effective solution to household fires.
